The Come-See-Me Festival is a Rock Hill tradition, rich in history and fanfare. A special element of the festival is the unveiling and presentation of the annual festival logo. The unveiling of the logo is a reminder that Come-See-Me is just around the corner. We are excited to present the 2017 Come-See-Me Festival logo to you today!
The logo was unveiled by 2017 Festival Chair Amelia Anderson at a breakfast meeting sponsored by Peoples First Insurance. The logo features both festival frog mascots, Glen and Glenda, in a custom design based on the drawings of renowned illustrator Vernon Grant. Mr. Grant created Glen the Frog for the inaugural Come-See-Me Festival in 1964. Each year’s festival chair works to create a new logo inspired by Mr. Grant’s original drawings.
The 2017 Come-See-Me Festival will start on Thursday, April 20 with the Come-See-Me Parade in Old Town Rock Hill. Your favorite events like Beach Bash, the Mayor’s Frog Jump, and the Come-See-Me Road Races return for another year. New additions for 2017 include the Hey Spring Market at Gourmet Gardens and Hops at the Park, a craft beer festival in Fountain Park. The festival concludes with the Tailgate Party and Fireworks Extravaganza at Winthrop Lake on Saturday, April 29.
In the coming weeks, you’ll see the new logo featured on posters and in many other festival promotions around town. Help us spread the word about this festival of fun that we all love so dearly! Mark your calendar, invite your friends and plan to join us in celebration! We invite you to visit one of our pre-sale locations to check out the new 2017 Come-See-Me souvenirs!
